9 weeks! This feels good to me. I’m so close to our ultrasound date and our first midwifery appointment which are really exciting and after those I plan to share the good news with you!
I’m excited to share, I really prefer not to keep secrets and I’m not great at it when they are my own. Haha. I probably would have shared the news sooner except that I had to tell someone particular in person first because of some work commitments. Also the first 8 weeks are typically the most fragile so a lot people prefer not to share too early.
So this week’s symptoms haven’t been too uncomfortable. Some nausea, mostly later in the day especially if I need to go to sleep. Also some mild cramping. My nipples are sore and the actual nipple has probably doubled in size already!
I’ve been on our little cottage vacation so we’ve been napping everyday which is awesome. I’m also eating when hungry so both those things help with nausea and fatigue. My food aversions seem to be subsiding a bit too and I’ve been able to eat a little more variety.
My weight hasn’t gone up on the scale, I’ve actually lost almost 4 pounds but my body composition has totally changed and I’m definitely softer and bigger especially around the hips and stomach. I notice some cellulite and my skin is so dry and sensitive.
Crazy how much changes so fast!
Here I am after the cottage week at this week’s check in with Layne. Not a great shot and feeling pretty big and blah! I only got a tan on my arms and legs this week and hardly any training. I walked 40min twice but I’m dying to workout. I think I’m losing my round bootie already! A belly is there though. Haha.
