Meal Prep Nov 1st 2015 + Halloween Crap ;)

Happy Halloween guys!

I couldn’t bring myself to post this on social media, too nasty! I went out as a party pooper last night. It’s the most disgusting costume ever and it won me an award! Hahah. It is so hilarious and I  can’t take credit for it because a friend of mine made it. Totally gross but everyone stopped me and asked about it. Belly laughing, if that’s your kind of humour, if not, sorry to offend! Hahah.

(If you are easily offended or hate poo jokes skip this post entirely!  Also we not be a good match and cant be friends 😉 )

Alright on to the meal prep post. Sorry about all the poop! lol

After last week’s travel I’ve been fighting some kind of flu and I’m still not feeling great. Nausea, ear ache and mega headache.  Because of that and staying up late last night I wasn’t much in the mood for meal prep. I pieced some things together though and am ready for tomorrow plus protein for the week. The rest I’ll easily assemble tomorrow or as needed.

Instead of cooking it all on batches I did it a bit differently this week. I made my apple cranberry breakfast sausages for breakfast this morning. I made 6 so one for today + 5 for the week.

Last night’s dinner was burgers and I made beef burgers and turkey burgers and made extra so I’ll have those for the week. I made a wacky but tasty grain free bun too using this recipe because I’m still working with with my autoimmune nutrition protocol.

For lunch today I broiled a whole filet of trout seasoned with pesto so that covers protein in another couple meals. I portioned it out for tomorrow to go with zucchini noodles and pesto.

Instead of cooking my hubby and I went out so before we left I put a few chicken breast in the crock pot along with some chipotle lime seasoning and let it cook. All done by the time we got home and enough to last the week. For tomorrow’s meal I threw a sweet potato in the microwave (yeah yeah, sometimes I use a microwave, no big deal 😉 ) and cooked it to go with the shredded chicken, then I topped it with some dairy free ‘cheese’ that’s I’ve been trying out.

I’ve got squash, beets and lots of greens to cook up but I’ll do it another day this week. The rest of tonight includes a bath and Netflix. I’m done!

    1. Hi Shari!
You can get them everywhere but the best one I’ve found is called Inspiralized and you can order it from http://www.inspiralized.com. It awesome!

You can spiralize many veggies and eat them raw or cooked. The zucchini here I lightly steam or sautee or even microwave for 60 seconds just before eating depending where I am,

To answer your other questions, I got the chipotle lime sauce at Winner for $3.99. I’ve also seen it at several kitchen shops at a higher price.

The pesto is easy to make and I put a recipe together but I also buy it from any health food store and many grocery stores. I look for the dairy and nut free versions.
